Cheaper if you do ALL the swap yourself. Considering if you buy a Silvia front clip and get all the parts yourself, you would still need to have welding skills to put in engine mounts. There would be some fabrication skills that would have to come into play.

Next, I'm assuming that he wants to keep the car on the streets. That's where the smog issues come in.
